NTEAA EV Presentation to Dallas Alternative Energy Group

NTEAA was invited to do a small presentation for the Dallas Alternative Energy Group in Dallas.  Several of the NTEAA members worked together to make a presentation to give to them.  Jared gave the presentation and Paul, John and Neil came to help with questions and information.   There was a lot of good interaction with the group and a lot of good questions.  We had Jared’s Fiero EV there and Paul also brought one of his EV scooters.    Paul also brought the demo display board.  The presentation lasted around 60 minutes, and then adjourned to the parking lot to see the Fiero EV and had further discussions of the electric cars.  Everything went pretty well and I (Jared) believe they learned a lot and I hope we get invited back to do future presentations.

Monthly NTEAA Meeting

Well there was only 4 of us that showed up at at the event.  So there was no point in doing a meeting.  We spent most of the time walking around to each of the solar race teams asking them questions and seeing what changes that have done for this year.  There was still a lot of building going on Saturday.  They were testing out parts of the car to make sure they passed inspections.  Their track times are some time this week.  I think they said Wednesday.  They had to complete so many laps in 1 day or another set of laps over two days.   If they pass those final test, then they get to do the whole race.  I learned some interesting things from them.  Just wished more people came out to talk with them and see how much effort they put into these solar race cars.  I took a few pictures so you can see a few of these solar cars.

World Environment Day

The Dallas Public Library hosted the World Environment Day.  Jared was able to make it down there with his EV Fiero.  There was a lot of people passing through on their way to the library so a lot of visitors stopped by.  The library had Jared pull his Fiero up on the side walk and right up into the main walk way of the library.  I bet they don’t see to many cars pulled up there!  With the slight breeze and the shady over hang of the library, it kept all of the patrons nice and cool while looking at the car.
